The Clos Moulin du Cadet gives you the opportunity to spend enchanting days at the heart of the classified Saint-Emilion vineyards. This ancient windmill has just been entirely restored and refurbished in order to welcome you within a green setting of relaxation and tranquility.
A 10-minutes' walk away from multiple foodstores and less than a km away from the centre of the village, the Clos Moulin du Cadet will be the starting point of your country treks or bicycle tours, taking you to the numerous visits and wine-tasting sessions available from the surrounding chateaus (Soutard, Cadet Piola, Cadet Bon, Larmande, etc.).
The presence of a vineyard upon the Cadets hill is known since the roman era. During the 14th Century, Jacques Bon, also known as The Cadet, is said to have planted a small vine plot on the hill at the north of Saint-Emilion, which will thereafter be called the Cadets' hill. Perched on the most elevated spot of this hill, the Moulin du Cadet offers a remarkable perspective on the village and its' surroundings.
Finally, we advise you to take the opportunity of your stay to experiment the famous "entrecôte à la bordelaise" thanks to the Moulin's fully furbished barbecue. The barbecue is set upon a beautiful terrace. Vine shoots are available for the cooking.
